Through its partnership with School #18, Curtis Screw Company provides one-on-one mentoring, tours of its facility, incentives for student achievement in attendance and academics, and financial support for the purchase of curriculum resources. It is continually renewing and improving this cooperative partnership.Curtis Screw also provides guest speakers for the school’s Annual Career Day and sponsors a monthly luncheon for the Citizen of the Month program. In this program, one pupil per grade level is selected by homeroom teachers for demonstrating qualities like school pride, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, and cooperation.
The company has made considerable contributions to rebuilding the school's library by purchasing a terrarium, an aquarium, encyclopedias, bookracks and carpeting. Curtis Screw Company has also sponsored school-wide field trips for those students exhibiting exemplary behavior or striving for academic improvement.
